Bad: 1Büyükyalı is a project that is respectful of history and cultural heritage, compatible with the texture of İstanbul, and has an innovative spirit that synthesizes traditional architecture with contemporary lines.
When designing Büyükyalı, we started off from the movement of “New Urban Development” that is accepted all around the world and aims at improving the quality of life in the cities. We took the vehicle traffic underground and planned a lifestyle that is considerate of human life with pedestrian pathways, parks, and gardens.
Büyükyalı has lively, colorful and green squares and hosts many social and artistic activities to which residents can access by walking from home. We focus on the notions of a warm neighborhood life and good neighbor relations by bringing people of different ages with different tastes through the combined usage of distinct spaces such as bazaar, hotel, restaurant, and day care center.
We place a great importance on landscape designing as well as on using high quality material in external and internal design.
From this perspective, we designed wide internal gardens and green yards with high plant quality and diversity. We planned an overpass so that the residents of Büyükyalı can easily access the deep blue sea of İstanbul, connecting directly to the sea and the coastal road.
Offering its residents “a good life” with all these characteristics, Büyükyalı reflects the timeless soul of İstanbul with its modern architecture that attunes to the urban texture.
Büyükyalı opens the doors to a considerate brand new life, nested in green and blue, which we designed with an understanding of new urban development.
